The New York Art Therapy Association Board of Directors is calling for nominations for the positions of President Elect, Secretary and Treasurer which will begin service in January 2018 through January 2020.
The President Elect assists the President as requested and in the President’s absence or inability to serve, he/she shall assume the role of President. He/she will study the presidential duties and responsibilities in order to be able to serve as President.
The Secretary records the minutes of board meetings and distributes them to the board members and handles official correspondence as requested by the Executive Board. The Secretary is responsible for maintaining NYATA’s official records, minutes and documents.
The Treasurer collects money, maintains fiscal records, distributes reimbursements and collects member’s dues.
Any member of the NYATA may nominate a professional colleague and member of NYATA for these positions. Those who wish to elect themselves are welcome to do so. *Please be sure to get permission from the Art Therapist before you submit their name for nomination.
Nominations must be returned by 10/30/17. Elections will occur in November 2017. It is very important that we have your support so that NYATA can remain a strong advocate for art therapy in New York State.
